Jay Gruden talked to the media after practice today. He started by saying a few words about Redskins reporter Rich Tandler who passed away yesterday.Gruden went over the team's ever-growing list of injuries. The Redskins had 7 players who did not practice yesterday. He said he didn't want to rule anyone out yet Youth Paul Richardson Jersey , but Troy Apke is most likely out. He attempted to return, but pulled his hamstring again.Jamison Crowder will likely miss his 2nd game in a row with an ankle injury. Gruden called him the most iffy of the players who didn't practice today. The rest of the list mostly consists of players who have been dealing with injuries for several weeks[Paul Richardson Jr.(shoulder/knee), Adrian Peterson(shoulder, ankle), Brandon Scherff(knee), Shawn Lauvao(calf), Danny Johnson(forearm)].Chris Thompson(rib/knee) and Ryan Kerrigan(chest) were the only players limited at practice. Trent Williams(knee) was a full participant and Morgan Moses doesn't have his name called on the injury report this week.Stacy McGee returned to practice today after spending the first 6 weeks of the season on the PUP list following offseason surgery for a groin injury. Gruden said he looked good Youth Quinton Dunbar Jersey , but he might need a week or two of practice before he returns to the field. The Redskins released veteran DL Ziggy Hood on Tuesday, but the team might need that spot for another position right now.He hopes CB Joshua Holsey can return to pracrice tomorrow after a toe injury landed him on the Non-football injury(NFI) list.RIP Rich Tandler:Injury updates:Troy Apke:Stacy McGee:Joshua Holsey:Jonathan Allen/DaRon Payne vs Cowboys run:DaRon Payne:Payne has played up to his expectations:2nd half scoring:Jordan Reed:DeMarcus Lawrence:Ezekiel Elliott: This week’s game predictions:Big Blue View fans = Redskins win by 4 pointsHogs Haven fans = Redskins win by 9 pointsThe situationGiants fans and Redskins fans agree on the final outcome — a win for Washington. The only place the two fan bases disagree is on the question of “by how much?”GM Dave Gettleman appears to already have his sights set on the 2019 offseason and his salary cap position. In the past few days he has traded Eli Apple to the New Orleans Saints and Snacks Harrison to the Detroit Lions. The Giants season appears to be over already. An overview from Pro Football TalkThe recent history of Giants vs RedskinsRedskins players and coaches would be wise not to take this Giants team lightly, despite the 1-6 record. After all, the Giants played the Atlanta Falcons to a 3-point ball game on the road on Monday night.More importantly, Jay Gruden’s Redskins have a ... what shall I say?... a ‘spotty’ history playing against the Giants when the Redskins should have expected to win.In 2016, the Redskins played the Giants in Week 17. New York was enjoying its best regular season since 2008, had already clinched a playoff spot Youth Preston Smith Jersey , and was widely expected to rest starters and simply ‘phone it in’. The Redskins were the team that did a sleepwalking routine at home, losing 19-10, falling to a record of 8-7-1 and losing any hope of a playoff spot.Getty ImagesWide receiver Odell Beckham #13 of the New York Giants scores a fourth quarter touchdown past cornerback Will Blackmon #41 of the Washington Redskins at FedExField on November 29, 2015 in Landover, Maryland. (Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images)Last season (2017), the Giants hosted the Redskins — again in Week 17. The Giants were 2-13 and had no motivation, aside from pride Womens Jordan Reed Jersey , to show up and play. The Redskins were 7-8, and had the opportunity to avoid a losing record by putting the hurt on the flailing Giants in New Jersey. Instead, it was a replay of 2016, with the Giants winning the matchup 18-10.What to expect this weekThis Sunday, a wounded Giants team that seemingly has nothing to play for, coached by a first year head coach, quarterbacked by an over-the-hill veteran being asked this week if he expects to be traded Womens Dustin Hopkins Jersey , and surrounded by Twitter reports that the team’s entire defense is available for trade, will host the first place Redskins, who are seeking to increase their division lead.Common sense tells us that it should be a cakewalk for the Redskins; history says that the team better show up with its collective head screwed on right and ready for battle, because the Giants have a way of playing and beating the Redskins even when it seems they shouldn’t.

Five takeaways from the Ravens’ 27-14 win over the Broncos In a wild Sunday afternoon game Womens C.J. Mosley Jersey , the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Denver Broncos 27-14. Despite how poorly the Ravens started, they found a way to battle back and take complete control. Baltimore’s offense bounced back in a big way, specifically with an improved game plan, in week three, while the defense held up well despite the absences of C.J. Mosley and Michael Pierce. 1. Marty Mornhinweg should be one of the biggest winners of week 3Similar to the Bengals’ game plan in week 2, Denver ran a fair amount of man coverage. However, unlike in Cincinnati, the Ravens’ receivers were able to create separation due to an improved scheme. They ran several high-low concepts, and their receivers had more time to get open as the protection held up nicely. Mornhinweg also made an extra effort to get Alex Collins involved in the offense. Although the pass to run ratio was still far from ideal, Collins carried the ball more times against Denver than he did in the first two weeks combined. He finished with 68 rushing yards and one touchdown. Collins also caught three passes for six yards. 2. Don’t call it a comebackJoe Flacco had one of his worst performances in recent memory last week. Blaming Flacco entirely for the collapse in Cincinnati would be inaccurate, but he was far from satisfactory. He missed on several throws, while consistently making horrible decisions with the football. Flashing forward to week three Womens Brent Urban Jersey , he was seemingly a different quarterback. Although Flacco missed on a couple of throws, he made excellent decisions with the football. The Ravens’ offense did not turn the ball over. However, there were some close calls, including a Flacco fumble. Although his performances at home compared to showings on the road could be a cause for concern, Flacco rebounded well.3. The Ravens still have an issue along their offensive lineThe box score shows that Flacco was only sacked twice, but that does not tell the whole story. Baltimore’s offensive line was still an issue. Flacco was rushed on several occasions. Matt Skura, who has come under criticism early in the season, had a noteworthy performance. Currently, the Ravens’ most significant issue is left guard. Alex Lewis gave up multiple pressures, including a strip-sack. He needs to improve in pass protection. Otherwise, Baltimore will have to shake this unit up. 4. No C.J. Mosley, no Michael Pierce Youth Maxx Williams Jersey , no problemThe Ravens’ offense will likely receive most of the praise for this emphatic win. However, their defense should get a ton of credit. After allowing touchdowns on Denver’s first two drives, they did not allow another point. The Broncos also started inside Baltimore’s six-yard line on their first possession. Don Martindale’s defense completely stonewalled Denver’s highly ranked rushing attack, and they pressured Case Keenum early and often. On several occasions, they were unable to get to Keenum, but the Ravens’ edge rushers drew multiple holding penalties.Aside from Kenny Young, Tony Jefferson may have been the biggest standout performer. He was excellent in run-defense as he recorded five total tackles, including one for a loss. Jefferson also had a clutch pass breakup on fourth down to end the game. Linebacker Patrick Onwuasor, who lost his job to Young, stepped up in Mosley’s absence. Although Peanut was solid in run-defense, his efforts in pass-defense were what made his performance more impressive. He picked off Case Keenum and would have scored if not for a Matthew Judon penalty. 5. The Ravens are already seeing their 2018 draft class paying dividendsThe Ravens finished the 2018 NFL Draft with 12 new players, and with nine of them on the active roster Youth Maurice Canady Jersey , it was expected that more than a few would make a significant impact this season. Despite only six 2018 draft picks being active in week three — Lamar Jackson, Kenny Young, Bradley Bozeman, Mark Andrews, Orlando Brown Jr., and Zach Sieler — the Ravens saw a couple of rookies make significant contributions.Kenny Young was all over the field. His sideline to sideline speed was on full display as he was excellent in both run defense and coverage. Young finished with a team-high ten tackles, including one for a loss. His ability to cover tight ends and running backs will only help Baltimore moving forward. After selecting Hayden Hurst with the 25th overall pick, the expectation was that he would emerge as Flacco’s ‘security blanket.’ With Hurst on the sidelines due to a stress fracture in his foot, Mark Andrews was in line for a larger role, and he has taken full advantage. Andrews had a touchdown last week, and he followed that performance up with a two-catch 59-yard showing.PFF: Ravens offensive and defensive lines thrived vs. Browns and Jimmy Smith returned to form It was another painful road game loss on Sunday as the Ravens couldn’t finish strong against the Cleveland Browns. In the end, Baltimore lost 12-9 in overtime.OFFENSEI’m rather surprised with this number Cheap Joe Flacco Jersey , but when you think about the offense as a whole, who really played better? Michael Crabtree dropped passes, Joe Flacco looked bad, Javorius Allen fumbled and nobody was a true threat.Crabtree said it himself, this loss was on him. He’s been struggling these past five weeks and needs to corral these failures. Hopefully, he does so sooner rather than later.DEFENSEThe defense did their job. They produced five sacks, an interception, eight passes defensed and continue their no touchdowns allowed in the second half streak. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough as the Ravens offense couldn’t finish the game.Unsurprisingly, Smith produced a top-tier game. He was fantastic in camp all year and hopefully he creates some pro-bowl buzz soon.

It wasn’t the Finals Authentic Taylor Moton Jersey , they weren’t playing Utah, and he didn’t have the flu.But when Panthers coach Ron Rivera looked at at Cam Newton‘s comeback against the Eagles Sunday, he saw something familiar.鈥淗e’ll come up and say, 鈥楥oach, put it in my hands, Coach. Trust me,鈥欌€?Rivera said , via Bill Voth of the team’s official website. 鈥淚t goes back to a little something I learned from Michael Jordan when we were in Chicago. Michael used to say, 鈥楥ertain guys want the ball when it’s crunch-time. Other guys just don’t seem to come off the picks the way they’re supposed to.鈥?I’ve told that to Cam, and Cam has always wanted the ball.鈥漅ivera was playing for the Bears when Jordan was dominating the NBA, and even though he hasn’t matched that kind of success as an owner in Charlotte, Jordan still casts a long shadow around town. The reality is, Newton was playing quite poorly through three quarters, but those problems were long forgotten after he led them back from a 17-0 deficit to win. It tied the largest comeback in Panthers franchise history Authentic Trai Turner Jersey , and according to Pro Football Reference, it was his 15th fourth-quarter comeback, which puts him ahead of a guy who gets more credit for it (Aaron Rodgers, 14).鈥淗e gets overlooked because of his style of play. It’s not a prolific style,鈥?Rivera said. 鈥淗e runs the ball extremely well. He’s not a pure, pure pocket passer, although there are elements of his game where he plays very well from the pocket. He’s good on the move. But again Womens Torrey Smith Jersey , I think the success he has in the fourth quarter with the comebacks is a lot about his desire wanting to win.鈥漁f course, even if you combined Newton and Rodgers, they’re still five rings behind Jordan, so everything’s relative.Panthers 2018 season opener countdown: 4 days to go We are 4 days away from the beginning of the Carolina Panthers 2018 season. That means today we take a closer look at former preseason backup quarterback Garrett Gilbert.Garrett Gilbert, QuarterbackBioHeight: 6’4”Weight: 230 lbsAge: 27College: TexasNFL Experience: 4 yearsGarrett Gilbert was, until recently, in line for backup quarterback duties behind Cam Newton until he got hit by one big Taylor Heinecke freight train during the preseason. He put up a good fight Authentic Cam Newton Jersey , but ultimately Heinecke brings more to the table in terms of mobility, and only gives up a little to Gilbert from a pure passing perspective. Unfortunately for Garrett, the team appears to have seen enough of him, electing to put 4th string QB Kyle Allen on the practice squad rather than continue to roll with him. Gilbert is now currently a free agent. It’s a shame that the team didn’t have a crystal ball following training camp last season, because rather than keep three quarterbacks on the roster, they could have just parted ways with Gilbert then and had the space to keep Harrison Butker instead. But hey... that’s none of my business.

Despite conflicting reports, it appears the Dolphins might be willing to part ways with DeVante Parker for the right price.According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo Cheap Jason Sanders Jersey , the Dolphins are indeed willing to trade DeVante Parker but will not move on from the enigmatic pass catcher for anything less than a third-round draft pick. Dolphins head coach Adam Gase has previously told reporters that the team is not actively shopping the former first-round pick, but multiple reports have mentioned that Parker is on the trade block. The Dolphins exercised Parker’s fifth-year option during the offseason, meaning he is under contract through the 2019 season with a $9,387,000 cap hit next year. However, that option is guaranteed only for injury, meaning the team could choose to cut him next offseason if they choose to do so.Parker has been a relative disappointment to fans and the Miami coaching staff and front office alike over this three plus seasons with the team. He’s struggled with injuries throughout his career, as he’s played 14, 15, and 13 games during the 2015, 2016, and 2017 seasons respectively. He’s also played numerous games at less than 100% health, leading to sub par production. This season, Parker has played in just two games T.J. McDonald Jersey , starting one of them and recording only two catches for 40 yards. He seems to have been surpassed by Kenny Stills, Danny Amendola, Albert Wilson, and even Jakeem Grant in the wide receiver rotationAccording to Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post, Parker has expressed his desire to remain in Miami for the long haul. “Yeah, I would love to be here long-term,” Parker said. “I get along with everybody here. Front office. All of them. Cool people. I wouldn’t mind being here long term.” In regards to being traded, Parker said, “Yeah. I prefer not to be. I want to be here, but it’s a business. So whatever happens, happens. You can’t control some things.”Parker is correct. He can’t control whether the front office trades him, but it appears they won’t be dealing him for scraps.

with a 3-1 mark and their defense will be getting a big piece back as they try to keep the wins coming.Linebacker Thomas Davis‘ four-game suspension came to an end when Graham Gano‘s 63-yard field goal sailed through the uprights to give the Panthers a 33-31 win over the Giants and the team won’t spend much time easing him back into the mix. Head coach Ron Rivera said at his Monday press conference that Davis will be in the starting lineup against Washington in Week Six.David Mayo started three of the four games while Davis was out , but only played 35 percent of the overall defensive snaps. Davis played just under 80 percent of the snaps last season and Rivera said Monday that the team has missed his energy. The Panthers offense could also get a boost this week. Rivera said he’s hopeful tight end Greg Olsen can return from his foot injury, which is something Olsen said is not out of the question after returning to practice last week. Panthers coach Ron Rivera may have figured out the only way to avoid injuries to key players in training camp."Not practice," Rivera said after Wednesday's practice. The Panthers are less than a week into training camp but have already lost two key players to potential season-ending injuries.Right tackle Daryl Williams, a second-team All-Pro last season, dislocated his patella and tore his medial collateral ligament during blocking drills on Saturday. Two days later, cornerback Ross Cockrell broke two bones in his leg while trying to break up a pass in the end zone during 11-on-11 team drills. The Panthers aren't the only team hurting. The Green Bay Packers have lost inside linebacker Jake Ryan and safety Kentrell Brice to severe leg injuries, while Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett also went down. Other teams have lost important players to injuries , too. It's nothing new, of course.Injuries happen every year in training camp, a reminder of the fine line coaches must walk between preparing their team for the physicality of the regular season and avoiding injuries to key players that can derail a season."If you look at what happened (with our injuries) the truth of the matter is there is nothing you can do about it," Rivera said. "That was a freak injury for Ross where the receiver was falling to the ground and he happened to step into it and got rolled up. Daryl was kick-sliding and turned his ankle and came down on it."Rivera said injuries are the "unfortunate nature of this game."Still, as a coach he is always looking for ways to prevent them, constantly telling players to "be smart" on the field. He did that prior to Wednesday morning's practice on a slick field at Wofford College following overnight rain."I told the defensive backs and the linebackers, 'Hey , let's be smart about the receivers crossing because we don't want to catch anybody in a bad spot," Rivera said. Some injuries can be prevented. That's why Rivera and his assistants were unhappy with rookie safety Rashaan Gaulden earlier this week he knocked wide receiver Jarius Wright to the ground in the back of the end zone with a vicious blow to the upper body — one that might have collected a fine from the league had it happened in a game situation. Wright remained on the ground for almost a minute before getting up.He returned to practice a short while later.Panthers wide receiver Devin Funchess immediately yelled at Gaulden after the play, saying "that's what we talked about — you have to know better."Coaches later called Gaulden aside to reprimand him."Hey, that's going to be very suspect because it falls right into the ram, butt and spear idea of using the helmet," Rivera said. "So we've got to make sure these young people understand it."Overall, Panthers left Matt Kalil said that "sometimes you just can't control" injuries."You want to play aggressive out here and you want to go full speed and get a game-time simulation Womens Taylor Moton Jersey ," Kalil said. "We want to be smart. I think what we can do as veterans, and as players, is we have a guy who is about to fall we want to keep him up and keep him off the ground. But it's hard because there are a lot of guys flying around out here."Panthers cornerback James Bradberry said there is a contact on every play."It's very tough because one of the key components of making a Super Bowl run is having everybody healthy. And when you have prominent guys go down, it's tough," Bradberry said. "You've just got to have that next-man-up mentality. And that's what we have here."

Franko Discussion / The Dolphins defense needs to fixed

Miami Dolphins Hats , but you already knew that. The defense has looked like a bunch of headless chickens running around on the field for the past two games and who knows if it’s the coaching or the players at this point. On the other side of the ball, the offense has looked stale too many times as the team has no identity. It also appears the magic has run out with Brock Osweiler as fans want R yan Tannehill back as soon as possible. Franko Discussion / Ravens vs. Bills final: MVP
« on: December 02, 2018, 10:19:45 pm »
Womens Terrell Suggs Jersey , stock-up and stock-down The Ravens finish their preseason 6-0 with a 47-3 blowout victory against the Buffalo Bills.MVP: Joe FlaccoThis elite quarterback dominated the Bills’ defense with throws to his tight ends, running backs and new receivers. Flacco left the game midway through the third quarter with a statline of: 25/34, 73.5%, 236 yards, 3 TDs, 1 sack, 121.7 QBRating. Who knew pairing Joe with NFL-caliber receivers would work?Stock-upMichael Crabtree — Two bad drops but made up with a toe-tapping touchdown. Overall, a solid day by Crab.John Brown — He’s not just a deep threat. He’s a touchdown-scoring machine.Willie Snead IV — Scored the hat-trick for Joe and caught a couple more passes.Nick Boyle — The first drive featured three catches by Boyle for forty yards. Solid performance by the Delaware product.Justin Tucker — Two field goals on this rain-soaked turf and notching four more PATs. Tuck stays perfect.Za’Darius Smith — Week 1 in a contract year and the pass-rushing linebacker notches two sacks.Tavon Young — The nickel cornerback returned with two sacks! Great work by the slot corner.Terrell Suggs — He would not be denied. Great pressures and a single sack added to his incredible total.Tim Williams — A redzone sack by the sophomore linebacker. He looked sharp in the preseason and it is transferring to live play.Brandon Carr — A great pick and he nearly took it to the house afterwards.Tony Jefferson — An easy pick fell into his arms and the safeties didn’t allow anything deep all day.Sam Koch — This man laughs in the face of mother nature as his punts flipped the field every time Cheap Lamar Jackson Jersey , including a 63-yard bomb.Marlon Humphrey — With Jimmy Smith out, the Ravens needed the sophomore to step up. He did so, producing back-to-back pass breakups. Kenneth Dixon — A decent performance by Dixon in garbage time. He demonstrated his tackle-breaking ability and the moves which we all love to see when he’s healthy. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury before the game ended. Hopefully it is nothing serious.Stock-downAlex Collins — Not a good game for the starting tailback as he finished with only seven carries for 13 yards and a lost fumble. He did score a touchdown, though. Thankfully, the game plan didn’t need more rushing attack with Flacco’s stellar performance.Janarion Grant — It’s a terribly rainy day, but you can’t fumble the football. Ball security is vital.Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey rips Ravens’ Joe Flacco: “He sucks” In a recent interview with GQ, Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey had some strong opinons on teams and quarterbacks around the league. He trashed the Browns in a fair but unwarranted pot shot , buried Buffalo’s Josh Allen, and also went after Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco among a few others. To summarize, in speaking on his high opinion of Lamar Jackson, Ramsey makes it clear he thinks the rookie will be unseating Baltimore’s starter sooner than later:There are a few ways of looking at something like this, the first of which being that it’s refreshing to see an athlete give actual opinions on things as opposed to the coach speak we’re usually subjected to. The other way of looking at it is that Ramsey isn’t really being 100% honest in this interview.Starting with Flacco, the shot across the bow was unprovoked but pretty par for the course these days. Although, it’s interesting he mentions that he played him twice in a row without also acknowledging the first encounter was a loss in which Flacco orchestrated a game winning drive against Jacksonville’s vaunted defense. However, what’s somewhat frustrating about all of this is Ramsey being lauded for his honesty when there are parts of this that are either the opposite of honest Authentic Brandon Carr Jersey , or just plain wrong. He goes on to call Atlanta’s Matt Ryan (after being reminded what his name was) “overrated,” and a “complete bust” in 2017 even though the veteran threw 20 touchdowns and won a playoff game in what was actually an underrated season. But the real kicker there is what he goes on to say regarding the quarterback that plays on his team:All I’ll say there is that there’s a reason why Jacksonville’s coaching staff wouldn’t let him Bortles cut it loose in Foxboro and it’s not because of suspect play calling like Ryan had to endure. He would later go to on to say that “playoff Blake is good” which sounds like a similar defense to a quarterback he ripped earlier in this piece, and that’s despite Bortles only having one appearance and two wins.None of this is intended as a takedown of Bortles, or even Ramsey who is an amazing player with a nice knack for smack talk. I’ll say this though; fans and players of opposing teams remember when you run your mouth about their favorite players and teammates, and he better be ready to back all of this up when the season begins.

Franko Discussion / ESPN: Teams are watching Baltimore’s kicker situation
« on: November 12, 2018, 09:14:55 pm »
The Baltimore Ravens are known for having successful special teams units Baltimore Ravens T-Shirt , usually starting with having an upper echelon placekicker. That’s never been more true than it has right now with Justin Tucker between the hashes, and even more so due to the presence of promising rookie Kaare Vedvik. This won’t be the case for much longer as teams rarely keep multiple kickers, and Vedvik would’ve had to do a whole lot more to even think about replacing Tucker. It does however look like he may be in line to go and play somewhere else, as a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter indicates other teams may be interested in bringing Vedvik in:As Schefter states, there’s a precedent for Baltimore developing young special teamers who go and have success elsewhere such as Lutz in New Orleans. The question then becomes, what exactly will happen with Vedvik? The young Norwegian has shown ability as both a kicker and punter in the preseason, meaning he has a versatility that few players in the league currently have. This means he provides a unique value which could end making him a tradeable asset. With the front office just having moved Kamalei Correa, it’s clear they’re interested in getting some return on guys who are good enough to make a roster but don’t necessarily fit into their plans. Vedvik epitomizes this as he’s shown promise but definitely won’t be uprooting Tucker or Sam Koch in the near future. As a result, the top brass would be wise to start shopping the former Marshall man to see if they can get something back for him. If they’re able to, it would be yet another return on a piece they weren’t going to use in 2018 anyway. The Denver Broncos have adjusted their travel itinerary in hopes of changing their fortunes on the road. They're no longer flying out on Friday for trips to the East like this weekend's game at Baltimore ."We're not going to worry about how far we're traveling, what time the game starts — we don't care," coach Vance Joseph said. "It's going to probably rain on Sunday. We don't care. I think pushing it back and just going on Saturday is all about our mindset and not worrying about going east, who we're playing or where we're playing."It's worrying about the Broncos playing the best we can play," Joseph added. "Our motto this year is, 'We don't care about where we go or who we play or when we travel or where we travel.' We're just going to go play."The Broncos (2-0) went 1-7 away from home last year and have only won one of their last 10 road games. That's a reversal of their road success during Peyton Manning's four seasons in Denver, when the Broncos were 22-10 away from home.Von Miller, for one, doesn't mind the change in plans: "It's all good," he said. "We're able to get a great night's sleep before Baltimore Ravens Hats , so that's all that really matters."The formula for ending their road woes, Miller suggested, was, "starting fast, getting off on third downs, being able to (force turnovers) and scoring touchdowns."Come to think of it, he said, "that'll work for you anywhere."It'll be imperative against the Ravens (1-1), who have scored touchdowns on all nine of their trips inside the 20-yard line so far."It's the first team in 20 years to be that way in the first two games, that's amazing," Joseph said. "They're running the football, they're passing the football. So, it's going to be a challenge."The Ravens have four TD runs and five TD passes inside the 20-yard line, and Denver defensive coordinator Joe Woods credits their veteran quarterback, Joe Flacco."I mean, they obviously have a good scheme. But he's a smart quarterback. He understands what he's looking at. He gets rid of the ball on time," Woods said. "But I think the big thing is just him. Execution."Miller spread the accolades a little bit more than Woods, attributing Baltimore's 9-for-9 mark to "a great corps of receivers" in addition to "a great quarterback."Ravens coach John Harbaugh would add running back and offensive linemen to that list, although somewhat reluctantly because it's only Week 3 and he doesn't want to get carried away."What I'm seeing is good players Baltimore Ravens Hoodie ," Harbaugh said. "I think we have guys making plays and we ran the ball in a few times, and that's big to our running backs and offensive line. But, man, you don't want to start patting yourself on the back. This league is too tough."The advantage of playing their second game on a Thursday night, Harbaugh said, was that the Ravens got to kick back last weekend and watch the rest of the league, including the Broncos, who rallied past the Raiders 20-19 behind Case Keenum's second straight fourth-quarter comeback ."It gives you good perspective. You see it's a crazy league. You see how tough it is. You see how tough it is to score in the red zone, how tough it is to stop somebody in the red zone," Harbaugh said.Denver's defense leads the league in third-down efficiency. The Broncos have allowed only five third-down conversions in 22 tries for a 22.7 percentage."I just think it's great execution," Miller said, noting "the Ravens are pretty good on third down."Baltimore is sixth in the league with a 43 percent conversion rate."So, third down will be pretty tough for both sides," Miller said.Notes: Keenum returned to practice after missing one day with a sore knee . ... RT Jared Veldheer (concussion) was cleared for activity but not any action. The Broncos were pleased with how well his backup, Billy Turner, played last week. ... CB-PR Adam Jones (thigh) missed a second straight day of practice as did ILB Brandon Marshall (knee).

After months and months of not having meaningful football to watch Authentic Kawann Short Jersey , we finally have meaningful football to watch. The Carolina Panthers will kick off their 2018 regular season at 4:25 eastern on Sunday September 9th with a new-look cast of coordinators. One of those new coordinators is Eric Washington, who was promoted to the role after cutting his teeth as the Panthers defensive line coach for seven seasons. It’s hard to make judgments based on the preseason, but the general feeling is that Washington’s approach will more resemble Sean McDermott than Steve Wilkes, letting the front 4 generate pressure while the back 7 hunt for turnovers. Washington’s first test as a defensive coordinator comes against a mediocre Cowboys offense that’s largely the same as last year’s version. They made two notable changes, replacing Dez Bryant with Allen Hurns/Michael Gallup and drafting guard Connor Williams in the second round of the draft. It’s unlikely that either of those changes are going to do much to boost the Cowboys offense.Last year’s Cowboys ranked 14th in both total yards and total points per game, with the offense strongly buoyed by the run game. Dallas averaged 4.5 yards per carry Youth Mario Addison Jersey , third in the league, even with superstar running back Ezekiel Elliot absent for 6 games. They boast one of the league’s strongest offensive lines, so they can plug almost anyone into the backfield and run off over 4 yards per carry. That brings us to our keys to Sunday’s game:Stop the run. This isn’t rocket science. Every coach says this before every game regardless of the opponent, and those of you who have read my offseason pieces know I’m a big proponent of the importance of the run game, so it should come as no surprise that this is key number one. Dallas ran the ball on 61% of their first down plays (and you thought the Panthers were bad), the most in the league. As long as the defense doesn’t let Elliot gash them for chunks of yardage , Dallas will spend a lot of time behind the sticks. Generate interior pressure against their backup center. Dallas’ All Pro center Travis Frederick is out for at least the next few weeks as he deals with Guillain–Barr茅 syndrome, so Joe Looney will get the start at center. He’s flanked to his right by rookie Connor Williams, which makes this the most obvious point of weakness in the otherwise stout Cowboys offensive line. Defensive tackle is the Panthers strongest position along their front line, so Kawaan Short, Dontari Poe, and Vernon Butler will all need to be disruptive against that duo. Stifle the Cowboys offense early in drives. The Panthers have often employed the ‘bend but don’t break’ style of defense under Ron Rivera. It works fine against most opponents Shaq Thompson Jersey , but it would behoove the Panthers to be more aggressive defensively and keep Dallas away from the red zone. They were the NFL’s 7th best team in terms of red zone touchdown percentage and ranked 5th in Sharp’s Offensive Success in the red zone in 2017. Meanwhile they only completed 58 passes for 15 yards or more, last in the NFL. The Cowboys aren’t a big play team, so the Panthers should put the clamps on the Cowboys offense before they can get into scoring range. The Panthers get to open their season on the national stage against a Cowboys team whose offensive strengths and weaknesses mirror those of the Panthers defense. If the Panthers can limit Ezekiel Elliot, they have a very good chance of starting the season 1-0.Panthers training camp 2018: Day 7 live updates and open thread The Panthers continue training camp at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC today.
